How to Use the Planner
Choose a profession and search its listed recipes. Add each craft to the plan, set the quantity you expect to make, and enter the stock you already own. The planner multiplies each material count by the recipe quantity, then combines materials with the same item ID.
Each result keeps the material name and reports the combined amount needed, what you own, and the shortfall. The shortfall is the amount needed minus your stock, with a floor of zero. Copy Shopping List copies the missing amounts; Clear Plan empties the current plan.
For a quick check, set Black Handwraps to 2 crafts and Black Sandals to 1. Together those counts require eight Cerulean Dye. With five owned, the shortfall is three. What the Skill Number Means
The required skill comes from the selected recipe item's recorded requirement. It is a reference for that row, not a chance that a craft will raise your profession skill. Dataset Coverage
Coverage: Verified current ACA recipe-item matches plus other recipe items requiring at most 75 skill; resolved materials only. Trainer-only crafts excluded. The dataset has 394 rows across seven professions: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Cooking, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, and Tailoring. Of those, 254 recipe item IDs match the current Azeroth Commerce Authority guide. The other 140 named client rows require at most 75 skill, with no acquisition source recorded. The October 3 comparison recorded 57 failed ACA vendor matches: 54 guide/client recipe-item skill disagreements, two Season of Discovery crafts, and one unresolved recipe-item, crafting-spell, profession, and skill join. Six of those recipe-item IDs already appear among the dataset's client-only rows, leaving 51 distinct IDs absent from this dataset. The planner totals materials for the rows you select. It does not confirm recipe ownership, character access, or where to obtain client recipe items. It has no skill gain estimate, market price input, or cost comparison.
