Survival tree notes

  • Source tier: Talent names, point gates, rank text and Classic comparisons are Reported from the WoW Forever Talents Hunter tree. Its data notes say the tree and tooltip data comes from Forever client build 1.60.1.70009 and is compared rank by rank with Classic Era 1.15.9.69722. The creator identifies as Milenkas. This is a community client read, not a Blizzard announcement.
  • Renames: Classic's Monster Slaying is now Improved Tracking, with five ranks instead of three. Trap Mastery is now Survival Tactics. The source counts four other Classic Survival talents as gone; the comparison is against its Classic client table.
  • New talents: The tree includes Predator's Edge, Expose Prey, and Lacerating Strikes among six new talents. Lacerating Strikes requires two ranks in Expose Prey.
  • Confirmed beta updates: Blizzard's September 24 notes say Lacerating Strikes can land critical hits and Strider Kick grants 30% movement speed for three seconds. These are Confirmed for the beta notes.
  • Earlier creator demo: Cajato's Survival segment is Reported context, not a current client source. At 11:52 the captured Predator's Edge tooltip shows its first point; the five-point values are visibly labeled estimates. At 13:36 the Lacerating Strikes capture shows the bleed and Expose Prey prerequisite. The talent list on this page follows the newer 70009 client read.
  • More context: The Hunter class guide covers the class overview; the talent system guide explains the shared point rules.

What is still unknown

  • Resourcefulness still contains the unresolved $m3% token at both ranks. The client data does not give its numeric proc chance, so this page does not infer one.
  • The reviewed September 24 notes name two current Survival updates and do not say whether other tree changes are planned. No future change is assumed here.
  • The tree is a beta client read. The cited sources do not establish final release values.
