What changed in Forever

Trainers and ranks

The rank descriptions set maximum potential skill at 75, 150, 225, and 300. The database lists recipe records with learn skills above 300, including Cloak of Earth and Sky at 310. The client does not include its maximum-skill table, so treat 300 as an inference from rank text, not a settled character cap. Source: Tailoring skill database

Two new trainers are listed on Zephras Isle. City examples include:

• Zephras Isle: Othesia Evengale and Taleen Shimmerthread, Tailors.
• Alliance: Jormund Stonebrow, Ironforge; Georgio Bolero, Stormwind.
• Horde: Magar, Orgrimmar; Josef Gregorian, Undercity.

Leveling Tailoring 1-300

This route uses only patterns that trainers teach or that come with the profession, from beta client thresholds and Wowhead's learn skills. It reaches 240, then has no trainer pattern left. Materials are totals for each skill range, and counts are minimums.

GREEN means skill-ups are not guaranteed. The route's totals are minimums, and yellow crafts can also miss skill-ups. For 240-300 the beta data only has vendor and drop patterns, such as Runecloth Reagent Bag (vendor, learn 230, gray 260) and Brightcloth Gloves (drop, learn 270).

Recipe vendors and reagents

The Wowhead Commerce Authority guide lists these Tailoring items for Merchant's Favor. Its displayed skill is the pattern's required skill; the listed price is Favor, not copper.

At 300 Tailoring, the Certification gives the title "the Tailor." The Azeroth Commerce Authority is the Alliance faction; the Horde counterpart is Durotar Supply and Logistics. Wowhead describes Craftsman's Writs as pending orders: acquire requested items, then deliver them for a reward.

Cerulean, Magenta, and Viridian dyes have tooltips saying alchemists ferment them. Malleable Essence of Nature's tooltip says it comes from disenchanting items from Hyjal Summit or Barrow Deeps. Bottled Screams appears in the Loom recipe. Source: Tailoring spell list

Pairing and gold

Warcraft Tavern recommends Enchanting because Tailoring gear can be disenchanted, and reports that Fishing may produce crates containing cloth bolts.
