Editorial Policy

This policy describes how WoW Forever Guides turns changing information about World of Warcraft: Forever into pages a player can rely on. It applies to every news article and guide on the site.

Sources Come First

We check beta client data, Blizzard's official announcements and beta notes first. A named client build confirms what that capture stores; a datamined capture does not prove server behavior. Existing client-read talent, ability, recipe, item and stats datasets keep their Reported labels until individually reviewed. Press coverage, developer interviews and community transcriptions retain their attribution and limits. Rumors and forum speculation may point us toward a question, but they are not presented as settled fact.

Every article carries a Sources list. Every guide fact row links to the source used for that row. Editorial records keep the source title, publisher, publication and retrieval times, the claim locator and the claim status.

When two first-party sources disagree, both statements stay on the page. The beta reference keeps its date conflict visible rather than picking one version.

Pages Answer a Real Question

A guide should help someone act: choose a class, understand a system, plan a purchase, or know what is still unknown. We do not publish pages that only rephrase a marketing description or repeat what any search result already says. A page with no supported facts to add waits until it has them.

Updates and Dates

Guides, articles and these policy pages show when they were published or last materially revised, and most show when their sources were last checked. When Blizzard changes a rule, date or system, we update the affected page rather than leaving stale advice in place. The checked date on a guide is the date its sources were last read, not a promise about the game.

Corrections

Send the page URL, the problem and supporting evidence to [email protected]. A report that checks out against the source gets the page corrected, and the page's updated date moves. The contact page sets out what the address is used for.

Affiliate Links

The site is an affiliate of RestedXP and Zygor Guides and may earn a commission when a reader buys through their links. Affiliate links go through /link/ on this site, or straight to a verified partner page with our referral tag in the address. Some source citations link directly to the vendor. Every page footer carries the affiliate disclosure, and no affiliate unit sits inside an answer, a fact panel, a table, an FAQ or a talent frame. The RestedXP and Zygor pages say what each company states about WoW: Forever, dated and labeled with its name, and never rank or review the product.

Community Data and Credit

When a community project supplies structured data, we summarize it, link back to the originating page and keep its provisional status visible. We do not rehost another project's screenshots, icons or full interactive datasets without permission. The talent calculator on /talents and the class pages is the exception: it is the WoW Forever Talents calculator, served from this site with its owner's permission, and it states its baseline data and credits that project.

What This Policy Does Not Cover

This policy does not promise a publishing schedule, a response time or coverage of every topic. It does not make the site a substitute for Blizzard support.
