Is RestedXP worth it for WoW Forever?

What $30 buys today

The status labels are RestedXP's own, from its Forever roadmap. The free addon's release notes show Forever route work shipping during the beta for Durotar, Mulgore, Teldrassil, Darkshore and Redridge. We have not bought or tested the guide.

The case for buying now

• One payment covers every later Forever update.
• Routes arrive in updates through beta and launch.
• RestedXP writes routes per class, per its product page.
• Its Forever price sits between its other guides.

For comparison, RestedXP's catalog listed its Classic Era speedrun guide at $25 per faction and $35 for both, and its Midnight guide at $35 and $50, on September 28.

The case for waiting

• The level 35 to 60 routes do not exist yet.
• Refunds are unlikely once you download.
• RestedXP supports only Windows and Mac.
• Zygor's Forever guides arrive in Elite at launch.

The refund rule is the deciding one. RestedXP's terms say it "generally" does not refund completed orders and treats refunds as exceptions at its discretion. An order you have not downloaded may qualify if you contact support within 30 days. Buying early and downloading means you are committed.

RestedXP or Zygor for Forever?

Zygor sells a subscription, not a product. Zygor Elite costs $15 monthly or $40 quarterly, and Zygor says its Forever guides join Elite at launch with no beta guides. RestedXP sells a one-time Forever product that is on sale now.

Claims we don't repeat

RestedXP's homepage calls its guides the fastest and cites a large player count. Nobody has published an independent Forever speed test, and we have not counted RestedXP's players, so this page uses neither claim. What the guide does for your own leveling time is not measured anywhere yet.
