Blizzard Evidence
Blizzard says tradeskills in WoW: Forever get over 600 new recipes, camp objects for every profession, dungeon Blueprints, a food overhaul and a Legacy Professions tree. It detailed these substantial expansions during the Deep Dive Panel and on @Warcraft:
- 600+ new recipes: introduced across professions and level brackets.
- Camping integration: three deployable campsite objects per profession.
- Dungeon boss Blueprints: advanced campsite objects from dungeon bosses.
- Food overhaul: most crafted food now grants a stat boost.
- Legacy tree progression: Legacy features a dedicated Professions tree.
- Summer 2027 roadmap: a major professions and Legacy update.
Each profession's three campsite objects are distinct and learned at different skill milestones. Initial objects unlock at skill level 20 from profession trainers or camping NPCs. The campsite objects and buffs are covered in full separately. Advanced objects drop as Blueprint recipes from specific dungeon bosses, and the launch dungeon roster lists the destinations announced so far.
The food stat boost comes combined with a small experience bonus, which feeds into leveling recovery and pacing. The account-wide Legacy system's Professions tree has perks such as "Bountiful Harvest," which increases gathering yields from mining, herbalism, and skinning. The account-wide Legacy trees cover how those points are earned and spent.

Reported in the Beta
Wowhead reports First Aid and Herbalism in the beta; Blizzard has not published a beta profession list. Wowhead's beta guides, both updated September 24, are the only source we found. They are fansite observations, not Blizzard text.
Swipe sideways to see all columns.
| Profession | Evidence | What Wowhead reports |
|---|---|---|
| First Aid | A secondary profession that "does not take up any of a character's primary profession slots." It makes bandages, cures for diseases and bleeds, and Healing Potions, which Wowhead says are "now crafted using First Aid, rather than Alchemy." Two trainers are on Zephras Isle. | |
| Herbalism | beta detail | A primary profession with trainers on Zephras Isle. You learn the Incense Candle at skill 20. Blizzard had already named Herbalism. |
Wowhead's Forever profession hub listed only these two guides on September 25. By September 27 it also carried Mining and Camping guides.
The beta client files (build 1.60.1.70009) carry recipe data for every Classic profession, each with its own Camping recipe category. The Alchemy, Enchanting, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Skinning and Fishing pages list what that data changes against Classic; the four crafting pages add a 1-300 route built from it.
How a Campsite Works With Professions
Blizzard's Deep Dive recap says placing a Basic Campfire gives you a campsite with vendors, repairs, profession workspaces and one-hour buffs, which players earn by sitting at the fire for a few moments; the recap turns Cooking's old Cooking Fire into the Basic Campfire.Source: World of Warcraft: Forever Deep Dive Panel Recap, checked Sep 28, 2026.

Three Objects, One per Player
Up to three nearby players can each add one crafted object to a Basic Campfire, and the objects share a one-hour cooldown. Blizzard says every profession has three objects learned at different skill levels, and each profession gives its own buff or utility "no matter which object is placed."Blizzard: World of Warcraft: Forever Deep Dive Panel Recap.
Cooking Raises the Cap
Cooks can upgrade a camp so a larger group can stack more profession buffs there: they can learn upgraded Campfires that hold five or 10 objects, while a Basic Campfire has only three slots. Alchemists place an Alchemy Lab, and Leatherworkers place a Tanning Rack, which the recap says more advanced Leatherworking recipes require.
The Legacy Professions Tree
Bountiful Harvest raises the materials you gather from Mining, Herbalism and Skinning, and it sits in the Professions tree of the account-wide Legacy system. The other two trees at launch are Adventure and Resourcefulness.

Where the Points Come From
You earn Legacy Points from Legacy Challenges, such as leveling a class or reaching a skill milestone, and each character can spend up to 16 points at launch. Blizzard says you can keep completing challenges past that cap and "earn up to 65 Legacy Points at the start"
; the extra points count toward a cosmetic Reward Track.Blizzard: Get to Know the World of Warcraft: Forever Legacy System.
Points Are Shared, Spending Is Not
Points are shared across your alts, but each character spends its own. A gatherer alt can take Bountiful Harvest while your main spends elsewhere. Blizzard's Legacy article adds Master Chef, a chance for cooking recipes to produce extra results, and a bonus to Merchant's Favor from the two new trade factions.Source: Get to Know the World of Warcraft: Forever Legacy System, checked Sep 28, 2026.
Azeroth Commerce Authority and Durotar Supply and Logistics
Tradeskill work for these two factions earns you Merchant's Favor. Blizzard's Legacy article names the Alliance's Azeroth Commerce Authority and the Horde's Durotar Supply and Logistics as "a major source of new tradeskill activities," paid in Merchant's Favor. The details below are reported, from Wowhead's beta guide updated Sep 20, 2026.Source: Azeroth Commerce Authority Reputation Guide, checked Sep 28, 2026.
Crates and Camps
You loot crates around the world, fill them with the requested materials and hand them in for Merchant's Favor. Wowhead puts the Alliance camp at Three Corners in Redridge Mountains, between Elwynn Forest and Lakeshire. Its Horde location heading reads "The Barrens, Outside of Crossroads," though the same guide's text says Durotar.

What Favor Buys
You spend Favor on recipes and certifications. In Wowhead's September 20 snapshot, the vendor tables contain 316 recipe and certification entries. Recipes run from 30 Favor at skill 25 to 360 Favor for Schematic: Gnomish Poultryizer at skill 300. The camp also sells the Reins of the Pack Kodo for 6,000 Favor and a Packmule Treat for 1,500, plus a tabard at Exalted.Source: Azeroth Commerce Authority Reputation Guide, updated Sep. 20, 2026; saved capture retrieved Sep. 28, 2026.
Certifications and Titles
A certification bought at skill 300 grants a title, such as "the Tailor" or "the Alchemist." Six professions sell one: Tailoring, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Alchemy, Leatherworking and Engineering. Enchanting's costs 240 Favor and the other five cost 1,000. The reputations guide covers Forever's other factions.
Profession Changes in the September 24 Build
Blizzard's September 24 beta notes change Enchanting products and crafting at camp.Source: WoW Forever Beta Development Notes, updated September 24, checked Sep 28, 2026. All are confirmed beta changes that may still move before launch.
Enchanting Products
Wizard Oils go back to their Classic Era values, except Brilliant Wizard Oil, which is unchanged: Minor Wizard Oil to 8 spell power, Lesser Wizard Oil to 16 and Wizard Oil to 24. Wands no longer gain damage from the user's spell damage, which matters for the wands Enchanters make.
Crafting at Camp
You can now craft, cast and buff each other while you wait for your Campfire buff; a bug used to stand players up when they crafted or cast. The buff also applies if you sit in a chair, sleep, lie down or kneel. In Elwynn Forest, you can learn Skinning from Helene Peltskinner even while on her quest.
Profession Changes in the October 1 Build
Blizzard's October 1 beta notes change recipes, wands, Mining nodes, Skinning and Cooking in the beta.Source: WoW Forever Beta Development Notes, October 1, checked Oct 1, 2026. All are confirmed beta changes, not launch promises.
- Blacksmithing and Leatherworking: some random dungeon-drop recipes now available.
- Enchanting: crafted common and uncommon wands vendor for 1 copper.
- Mining: fewer Poor Copper Vein nodes in starter areas.
- Skinning: creatures can once again be skinned only once.
- Cooking: Savory Whimsyfin Delight uses orc Ninja and Pirate outfits.
- Orgrimmar:
"Shenthul in Orgrimmar will now train Windshaper Skyborne."Blizzard: WoW Forever Beta Development Notes, October 1, checked Oct 1, 2026.
The Cooking change is an orc equivalent of the Ninja and Pirate outfits. The Shenthul line sits under Professions and does not say what he trains. The Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Enchanting, Mining, Skinning, and Cooking pages linked above carry the detail.
Racials That Touch Professions
Tauren, Gnome and Dwarf players each have a racial that touches professions. Blizzard's September 22 racial list describes Tauren Cultivation as "Grow bonus herbs that don’t require herbalism to gather."Blizzard: Create the Hero You Want to Be in World of Warcraft: Forever.
The September 24 notes add a level rule: you need a player level equal to the herb's Herbalism requirement divided by 5, and herbs above 300 skill need level 60.
Gnome Engineering Specialization reads "More reliable engineering devices."Blizzard: Create the Hero You Want to Be in World of Warcraft: Forever.
Dwarf Find Treasure tracks nearby treasure chests.
Technical Notes
- The September 24 notes word the rule as "The level required is equal to the Herb’s level required to pick it divided by 5." Put simply, the player level needed equals the herb's Herbalism requirement divided by 5.
What Players Say
Across 4 streamers, professions feel rewarding when they produce useful gear, and blacksmithing is praised early. Ziqo says enchant costs and Mageweave make crafting hard to afford. Opinions from live streams, not confirmed facts.
“Dude, I actually think I might not go engineering for the first time ever on actual launch. I think I might go tailoring enchanting.”

Not Announced or Unresolved
- How many per characterDon't assume slot counts; Enchanting and Engineering are in the beta but not in Blizzard's list
Expect gaps: Blizzard's list omits professions the beta carries, and skill caps and trainer tiers remain unpublished.
- Blizzard's profession list still omits Engineering and Enchanting.
- Blizzard has not named Fishing.
- Skill caps and trainer tiers remain unpublished.
- Beta profession and recipe availability is incomplete.
The beta shows Engineering camp objects anyway, and the beta client and Wowhead carry Fishing.
