How each guide works
Zygor
Zygor's product overview lists a Guide Viewer, 3D waypoint arrow, and detection that responds to quest progress. It lists guides beyond leveling, but does not promise every category for every WoW version. Its Classic leveling page describes travel directions, training reminders, catch-up steps, and adjusted Hardcore routes.
RestedXP
RestedXP's catalog separates guides by version and play style. Its setup manual calls for installing the addon, connecting a Battle.net ID, and importing a purchased guide. Check the exact product before buying; the free addon does not include every paid route.

Price and purchase model
Zygor lists Elite at $15 monthly or $40 quarterly. Its Forever announcement says active Elite members will get those guides without another guide charge.
RestedXP's Forever catalog lists Alliance and Horde at $30 each and Both Factions at $45. Other game versions have separate listings. Check the current access and update terms on the exact product page.
Total cost depends on months of Zygor access and the RestedXP products you need. The listed prices do not establish a universal cheaper choice.
World of Warcraft: Forever
Zygor announced on September 15 that it plans Forever guides for launch and does not plan a beta guide. The announcement does not demonstrate the final route list or completeness.
RestedXP lists three Forever products. Its Horde product page says the guide is still being created. It describes Speedrun, dungeon, Discovery, Legacy, and progression coverage as work that will develop with the game. A store listing does not establish that each part is playable today.
