WoW Forever Warrior leveling guide (1-60)
An Arms-first point order from the first talent through level 60, with reported and confirmed facts kept separate.
I'd start with Arms for a reported two-handed route, then take Mortal Strike at the 31-point milestone.
Quick answer
Use this Arms point order: fill Improved Rend and Tactical Mastery first, unlock Sweeping Strikes at 21 points, and take Mortal Strike at 31.
- Level-60 talent budgetThe reported calculator gives 51 points at level 60; each new row requires five more points in the same tree.
- Arms recommendationThis site's two-handed Arms route is a tooltip-led starting path based on the reported client tree.
- Talent milestonesBlizzard confirms talent point milestones at 11, 16, 21, and 31 points.
- BloodthrillThe September 24 beta notes set its ranks to 4/8/12/16/20% and limit triggers to Main Hand attacks, including Cleave and Heroic Strike.
- Warrior race accessBlizzard's race and class table includes Warrior for every listed race, including both Skyborne factions.
This is our tooltip-based recommendation, with client-read facts kept separate from Blizzard's confirmed beta changes.

The Arms starting pick
The reported tree gives Arms a two-handed focus and a clear path through Improved Rend, Sweeping Strikes, and Mortal Strike. We recommend it as a tooltip-led starting route; the point table shows the gates and trade-offs behind that assessment. The detailed Arms talent reference shows the client-read tree, and the Warrior guide collects class-wide changes.

The point order from level 10 to 60
This schedule uses the reported normal progression of one talent point per level from 10 through 60. It assumes you do not have the Legacy Talented perk. Blizzard says Talented can unlock points up to five levels earlier, so follow points spent and tree requirements if the perk moves your unlocks forward.
| Character level | Points spent | Suggested order |
|---|---|---|
| 1-9 | 0 | Choose a race and begin in a faction zone. This route starts allocating points at level 10. |
| 10-19 | 1-10 | Arms: Improved Rend 3/3, Deflection 2/5, then Improved Tactical Mastery 5/5. |
| 20-24 | 11-15 | Anger Management 1/1, Deep Wounds 3/3, then Improved Overpower 1/2. |
| 25-29 | 16-20 | Spearing Strike 1/1, Two-Handed Weapon Specialization 3/3, then Improved Overpower 2/2. |
| 30-39 | 21-30 | Sweeping Strikes 1/1, Bloodthrill 5/5, Weaponmaster 3/5, then Impale 1/2. |
| 40 | 31 | Take Mortal Strike 1/1. |
| 41-56 | 32-47 | Finish Arms: Impale 2/2, Weaponmaster 5/5, Improved Heroic Strike 3/3, Improved Charge 2/2, Improved Slam 2/2, Improved Hamstring 3/3, and Deflection 5/5. |
| 57-60 | 48-51 | Put the last four points into Fury's Cruelty, reaching 4/5. |
The four point milestones land at levels 20, 25, 30, and 40 under this normal schedule. The route uses Anger Management at 11 points, Spearing Strike at 16, Sweeping Strikes at 21, and Mortal Strike at 31. The reported tree requires 30 points in Arms to open Row 7, and Mortal Strike also requires Sweeping Strikes. Each new row requires five additional points in that tree.
Improved Rend is the opening pick because the reported tooltip boosts Rend and the tree requires it for Deep Wounds. Five ranks in Improved Tactical Mastery are required for Anger Management. Bloodthrill then rewards keeping Rend on the target, while Sweeping Strikes gives your next five melee attacks an additional nearby target. Those are tooltip reasons for this path, not a claim about its XP per hour.

The route fills the 47 ranks in Arms by level 56, then spends the final four points in Cruelty. Open the Warrior talent calculator to inspect or share a different point order before you commit to it.
What the beta tooltips change in this route
Blizzard's September 24 notes are the confirmed source for these Warrior changes in that beta build. Values can still change before release.
| Change | What the notes say | Why it matters here |
|---|---|---|
| Bloodthrill | The five ranks are 4/8/12/16/20% (was 2/4/6/8/10%). Only Main Hand melee attacks can trigger it; Cleave and Heroic Strike count. The reported tooltip adds that the target must have your Rend. | This route spends five points here after taking Sweeping Strikes. Use the updated chance, not the earlier demo values. |
| Slam | Its cooldown is 18 seconds, up from 15. Improved Slam reduces that cooldown by 1.5 or 3 seconds. | The route puts Improved Slam among the post-capstone points. The listed value is the September 24 beta value. |
| Sunder Armor | Blizzard corrected threat across all ranks and added a small amount from Attack Power. | If you tank a dungeon, use the current tooltip; the notes do not give a per-rank amount. |
See all September 24 class changes for the wider class list. The reported talent data remains separate from Blizzard's confirmed notes: the client read supplies the tree and ranks, while Blizzard's post supplies only the changes it names.
Pick a race for utility, not a ranking
Blizzard lists Warrior for each of the eight returning races and both Skyborne factions. The combinations are Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, and High Order Skyborne for Alliance; Orc, Undead (Forsaken), Tauren, Troll, and Windshaper Skyborne for Horde. See the race and class matrix for the full list.
These sourced examples point to different kinds of utility, not a best-race order:
| If you value | Race and ability | Published effect |
|---|---|---|
| A short attack-power window | Orc: Blood Fury | Increases Attack Power and Spell Power by 10% for 15 seconds. |
| A defensive answer to several debuffs | Dwarf: Stoneform | Grants immunity to Bleeds, Poisons, and Diseases and reduces Physical damage for 8 seconds; Blizzard does not state the reduction amount. |
| More movement speed | Windshaper Skyborne: Skysight | The Elemental Blessing increases run speed by 10%. |
Blizzard's racial list gives Blood Fury and Stoneform. Its Skyborne article gives Skysight's movement effect. Compare the full racial guide before you choose; these examples do not rank race performance for Warrior.
Match the talent path to a faction route
Use the leveling zones guide for Alliance and Horde brackets and the Forever additions layered onto them. The class point order does not choose a quest route for you, so pick the route that fits your race and the zones you want to visit.
For a guided route, check RestedXP's current Forever coverage, compare it with Zygor's announced WoW Forever guide, which Zygor plans for launch with no beta guides, or use the RestedXP versus Zygor comparison to check the options side by side.
Trainer abilities sit outside this talent plan
I have not assigned Warrior spell or ability ranks to character levels. The sources used here cover talent rows, ranks, and dated beta changes, but do not include a verified trainer schedule. Check your in-game spellbook and class trainer as you level rather than reading talent milestones as spell unlocks.
Frequently asked questions
Is Arms the fastest Warrior leveling spec?
This guide cannot call the route fastest. Its Arms point order comes from tooltip and prerequisite data, which explains the talent path but does not establish an XP-per-hour result.
When can I take Mortal Strike?
The route takes it at 31 points, which is level 40 on the normal schedule. The reported tree places it on Row 7 and requires one point in Sweeping Strikes.
Does the Talented perk change the level table?
Yes. Blizzard says the Legacy Talented perk can unlock talent points up to five levels earlier than normal. Follow the point totals and tree prerequisites if you have it.
Can every race play a Warrior?
Yes. Blizzard lists Warrior for the eight returning races and both Skyborne factions, with the Alliance and Horde options shown above.
Where should I quest from 1 to 60?
Use the zone brackets by faction to choose a bracket and check which Forever additions are confirmed or planned.
