What changes with Cooking in WoW Forever?

Blizzard's Deep Dive announcement describes a broad tradeskill update. It says most crafted food receives stat boosts and a small experience bonus, so Cooking touches both combat preparation and the leveling journey. The public details describe the effect in general terms rather than giving values for individual dishes.

The same announcement counts over 600 new recipes across professions and level ranges. That number belongs to the profession system as a whole. Blizzard has not published a separate total for Cooking, so it should not be read as 600 new Cooking recipes. The professions overview covers the wider tradeskill changes.

How does Cooking change the campsite?

Camping starts with the familiar Cooking Fire, which becomes a Basic Campfire and creates a place to rest and share campsite benefits. A Basic Campfire supports up to three crafted objects, with each nearby player contributing one. Cooks can also learn upgraded Campfires that allow five or ten objects at a camp.

Which Legacy perks affect food and recipes?

Blizzard's Legacy guide names two perks that connect to Cooking. Master Chef, in the Professions tree, gives cooking recipes a chance to produce additional results. Gourmand, in Resourcefulness, increases the duration of buffs from eating food. The Legacy guide explains how characters spend Legacy Points across its trees.
