The level ranges assume one point per level from 10 to 60 and do not apply Legacy's Talented perk. That perk can unlock points up to five levels earlier, so follow point totals instead of character level when it applies. The reported tree opens later rows after five points in the tree. Warcraft Wiki: Talent is the point-schedule reference, not a Forever trainer list.

The reported Shadow Priest talent tree says Shadowform adds 10% Shadow damage and reduces Shadow spell Mana costs by 50%, but prevents healing spells while active. Wand Specialization's full-rank tooltip increases wand damage by 25%; the figure below shows the unallocated tree layout.

Priest updates in Blizzard's beta notes

Blizzard's September 24 beta notes say Renew can critically hit and Power Word: Shield can replace an existing shield when the target has no Weakened Soul. The same notes say Gnome Priests' Contingency Plan can critically hit, while Confounding Flash gains a more Holy-oriented cast visual. The notes do not give the full effects of those two racial spells, so neither is a sourced reason to rank Gnome above another Priest race.

Race and route choices

Blizzard's current class tables list Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, and Gnome Priests for Alliance, plus Troll and Undead Priests for Horde. Gnome Priest is the new pairing. For the broader Priest changes and the source limits on each tree, see the class overview.

Use the Alliance or Horde brackets in the leveling zones guide to pick quest areas. It keeps Classic Era level ranges separate from Forever additions. The sources used here do not test leveling performance by race, so this guide does not call one Priest race the fastest.

Which Priest spec should I level?

Our default recommendation is Shadow Magic because the reported tree includes Spirit Tap, Mind Flay, and Shadowform. The choice follows the current client tooltips; it is not a tested XP-per-hour ranking.

What level can I take Shadowform?

On the ordinary schedule, Shadowform is the 31st point at level 40. Legacy's Talented perk can unlock points up to five levels earlier, so follow your point total if you have it.

Which races can be Priests in WoW Forever?

Alliance Priests can be Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, or Gnome. Horde Priests can be Troll or Undead, also called Forsaken on the site. Gnome Priest is the new pairing in Blizzard's table.

Is this an official Priest build?

No. Blizzard's cited notes confirm the dated spell changes, while the talent names, ranks, and tooltips come from a reported beta-client read. The order is our recommendation from that evidence.

Where should I quest as a Priest?

Choose a route from the Alliance or Horde brackets in the faction zone list. This article does not add a Priest-only quest route.
