Prices are the vendors' own list prices on September 28, 2026. No vendor page showed a discount code that day. For the two paid guides side by side, read RestedXP vs Zygor for WoW Forever.

A paid guide sells the route itself: which quests to take, in what order, and where to walk next. The addon that displays the route is free in both cases.

RestedXP sells three Forever products: Horde, Alliance and both factions. Its roadmap marks the Speedrun Guide as work in progress, lists a Dungeon Leveling Guide as a later stage, and says routes for levels 35 to 60 "will be released after launch". Its free addon already ships Forever route updates for Durotar, Mulgore, Teldrassil, Darkshore and Redridge.

Zygor takes the subscription route. Its September 15 post says Forever guides will be added to Zygor Elite at no extra charge and that coverage "may be limited" at first. A staff reply on September 21 puts it plainly: "No beta guides, just for launch." Details: Zygor Guides for WoW Forever.

Free helpers

Free addons help with the questing but do not sell a speed route. Questie is a quest helper; CurseForge files it under Quests & Leveling and Map & Minimap. Guidelime runs guides that players write or import. TomTom only draws the arrow.

Each of the three lists a Forever file today, and each shipped it during the beta. Guidelime's own wording is still a plan: "World of Warcraft Forever will be fully supported and guides are already being worked on." Are leveling addons allowed?

Blizzard's UI Add-On Development Policy says "Add-ons must be free of charge". It also bars charging "for services related to the add-on". RestedXP and Zygor give the addon itself away free and sell guide content or a subscription. We found no Blizzard statement that rules on either vendor, and the policy post never mentions Forever.

Blizzard also "reserves the right to disable any add-on functionality". Treat any "Blizzard approved" or "cannot be banned" claim as the vendor's own claim, not Blizzard's.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best leveling addon for WoW Forever?

Nobody can say yet. No vendor has a finished Forever route, and no independent speed test exists. RestedXP is the only paid guide on sale now; Zygor's arrives at launch. The RestedXP worth-it check lists what $30 buys today.

Does Questie work in WoW Forever?

Its CurseForge page lists a "WoW Forever" file, and its release notes say "Added Forever client support". That is the addon author's own statement; we have not tested it in the beta.

Do I need an addon to level in Forever?

No. Every addon here is optional; the game is playable without them. They save lookup time.
