Blizzard explains the Disarm change for forms: "This is a gameplay adjustment to match how it felt in original WoW."Blizzard: October 1 beta development notes, checked Oct 5, 2026.
The known October 1 issue: several debuffs like Faerie Fire and Demoralizing Shout did not cause threat. October 8 fixes Demoralizing Shout and Demoralizing Roar; it does not name a Faerie Fire threat fix. See the dated beta issue status.Source: Blizzard's October 8 beta notes, Classes > Druid > Demoralizing Roar and Warrior > Demoralizing Shout, checked Oct 13, 2026; confirmed. The October 15 notes then make Faerie Fire generate threat in Bear and Dire Bear Form.Source: October 15 beta notes, post 6, Druid.
- Shifting Power cost: the same Mana as Cat Form.
- Cost reductions: effects that reduce shapeshift cost reduce it too.
- Cooldown Manager: the build adds Rogue and racial abilities.
- Cooldown Manager: drops duplicate entries for each spell rank.
- Every class: October 1 beta notes summary.
Current Form and Threat Advice
The tables above record September 24 and October 1 changes, including Thorns. This selected October 8 update focuses on forms, threat and Rage.
Mana Potions work in Bear, Dire Bear and Cat Form. You can refill Mana without shifting out. Blizzard's October 8 build also fixes Cat Form reducing maximum health. Keep enough Mana for healing and your next shift.Source: Blizzard's October 8 beta notes, Classes > Druid, Mana Potions and Cat Form, checked Oct 13, 2026; confirmed.
Bear Form and Dire Bear Form now have a 50% threat bonus (was 30%). Their critical-strike Rage bonus is 100% (was 75%). Demoralizing Roar also puts some threat on every affected target after its no-threat bug was fixed. Keep using direct threat abilities on the group's target.Source: Blizzard's October 8 beta notes, Classes > Druid, Bear threat, critical-strike Rage and Demoralizing Roar, checked Oct 13, 2026; confirmed.
The damage-taken Rage correction also applies to Druids: more Stamina no longer reduces Rage through the old player-health calculation. For Cat resources and Bear pull decisions, use the Feral combat advice.Source: Blizzard's October 8 beta notes, Classes > Rage fixes, checked Oct 13, 2026; confirmed.
What Is Still Unknown
Full Druid talent trees, builds, launch roles and the exact Skyborne form list are unknown.
- Full Forever Druid talent trees and point totals are unknown.
- Druid rotations and build recommendations are unknown.
- Launch Druid roles, resources, and shapeshift rules are unknown.
- The exact Skyborne form list.
- Whether Restoration gets a tree form.
- Any spring 2027 Druid pairing. The roadmap names none.
The September 24, October 1 and October 8 notes confirm the dated changes above. The October 1 beta build already changes Rage from crits, Disarm immunity in forms, and Energy.
WoW Forever Druid Forms and Races
Night Elf, Tauren and Skyborne can play Druid, and Skyborne get new race-specific forms. Druid's Blizzard overview lists tank, healer, and damage roles and describes shapeshifting, but that is original WoW background, not a Forever specification.
| Race | Evidence | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Night Elf | Blizzard's September 22 Alliance table lists Druid | Confirmed |
| Tauren | Blizzard's September 22 Horde table lists Druid | Confirmed |
| Skyborne | Druid on both factions, with new race-specific forms | Confirmed |
These rows come from Blizzard's Create the Hero tables, published September 22, 2026. No other race can play Druid.
GameFragger reports bear, cat, travel, and moonkin forms in sky blue and says tree form was absent from the captured slide. That list is Reported, not an official form list. The race hub explains faction choice at character creation for Skyborne and the returning races. Our Druid Feral talent order gives a Feral talent order to Berserk at 31 points and faction quest-zone anchors; the shared guide still covers zone routes without level scaling. The Druid guide is not a measured 1-60 itinerary.Source: WoW Forever Druid leveling guide, Feral talent order and quest-zone table, checked Oct 8, 2026.
Druid Talent Trees in the Beta Client
A third-party read of the beta client reports 51 Druid talents, and 5 of Classic's 47 read the same. The September 24 notes confirm only a handful of Druid changes.
WoW Forever Talents' read of beta client build 1.60.1.70009 splits them 16 in Balance, 19 in Feral Combat, and 16 in Restoration. Of Classic's 47 Druid talents, 33 changed and 8 are gone. That is client data, so it is Reported, not a Blizzard list. The counts come from before the October 1 beta build, which removes one Feral talent and adds two.
Balance: Four New, Twelve Changed
In the client read, every Balance talent is new or changed: four new and twelve changed. The four new ones:
- Eclipse: Wrath speeds your next 2 Starfires by 0.5 sec.
- Genesis: up to 5% more periodic damage and healing.
- Nature's Majesty: up to 4% spell and melee crit.
- Nature's Splendor: longer Moonfire, , Regrowth, and Insect Swarm.
funkusz's talent video shows Moonkin Form doubling Omen of Clarity procs and giving the party 3% crit. The Balance Druid talent page lists every rank.

Feral Combat: The Largest Tree at 19 Talents
In the build 70009 read, Berserk makes Primal Bite hit up to 3 targets with no cooldown for 15 seconds. The read has six new talents and thirteen changed. Blizzard's September 24 renames show up here: replaces Mangle, and takes back its older name.
The October 1 beta build then changes the tree: is removed, and Shifting Power and Improved Shifting Power are new, all confirmed for the beta. The counts here and in the capture below come from before that build.

Other new talents lean on crits and bleeds: Natural Instinct (formerly Predatory Instincts) adds up to 20% melee critical damage and 12/25% of Intellect as spell healing, and Rend and Tear adds up to 10% damage to bleeding targets. Natural Reaction adds dodge and Rage for bears. King of the Jungle, which made grant 60 Energy, was removed on October 1, and so was Tiger's Fury. Full ranks sit on the Feral Combat Druid talent page.

Restoration: The Most Unchanged Talents of the Three
In the client read, Restoration has three new talents, among them itself, a party heal that front-loads its healing over 7 seconds. The read also reports eight changed talents and five unchanged. Gift of the Earthmother trims the global cooldown on Rejuvenation, Swiftmend, and Wild Growth by 0.5 seconds. Living Spirit adds up to 15% Spirit. The Restoration Druid talent page covers the rest.

What Left the Trees, and What Was Renamed
Eight Classic talents are not in the Forever trees: Improved Thorns, Natural Weapons, Nature's Grasp, Omen of Clarity, (Feral), Feral Aggression, Improved Enrage, and Improved Mark of the Wild. The read says trainers teach Nature's Grasp and Faerie Fire (Feral) instead, but it doesn't say that for Omen of Clarity. Blizzard's October 1 notes use Omen of Clarity as an example of an effect that low-rank spells activate less often, without saying whether it is a talent.
Five kept the same job under a new name: Overgrowth (was Improved Nature's Grasp), Feral Swiftness (was Feline Swiftness), (was Improved Shred), Naturalist (was Improved Healing Touch), and Blood Frenzy.
Trying Every Tree in the Beta
Respeccing is cheap in the beta, starting at 1 silver, so try Balance, Feral, and Restoration now rather than at launch. The September 24 notes set that price if you have not changed talents recently. It rises after a reset and drops back after an hour. Blizzard says this is for the beta only.
Itemization and Combat Changes That Touch Druids
For a Druid who shifts between Feral and caster gear, one hit stat and one crit stat now serve both. Blizzard's Deep Dive panel recap says spell, melee, and ranged hit chance are combined into one stat, as are the three critical strike chances. Blizzard's examples are Retribution Paladins and Enhancement Shaman.
Weapons, Armor, and Questing Gear
Balance and Restoration Druids now get level-up weapons the way melee classes do, because caster weapons carry spell damage and healing. Weapon skill still works as in Classic, but items grant less of it per piece. New stats can reduce the chance an attack is dodged or parried, which helps Cat and uptime.
Bonus healing now also includes one third as much bonus damage, which Blizzard says gives healers "more support when questing and adventuring."Blizzard: World of Warcraft: Forever Deep Dive Panel Recap, checked Sep 15, 2026.
A Restoration Druid in healing gear hits harder while soloing than in Classic, though a third is not a full damage set.
Combat Pacing and Crowd Control
Blizzard aims for an ordinary solo creature to take roughly 10 to 15 seconds to kill, and for crowd control such as Root to stay useful when a pull has too many enemies for the tank. Those are pacing goals from the recap. In the BlizzCon Deep Dive stream, a developer said: "Our tanks can only do threat on three or four targets at once."Blizzard: Deep Dive stream, 53:02, checked Sep 28, 2026.
That applies to Bear Form tanks too.
You can test the Cooldown Manager on Druid in the current beta. Blizzard listed five classes on September 24, and the October 1 build adds Rogue and racial abilities. It pulls buff and cooldown timers into one customizable spot, which suits a Druid tracking , , and at once. The September 24 notes said it did not yet support spell ranks; the October 1 build drops duplicate entries for each rank on supported classes.
Questing and Leveling as a Druid
No Blizzard leveling guide names Druid, and the best leveling class comparison names no fastest class. It weighs the , , and crit change against Hunter and Priest healing tools.
Race Choice Sets Your Starting Zone
Druid reaches two races per faction under Blizzard's September 22 tables: Night Elf or High Order Skyborne on Alliance, Tauren or Windshaper Skyborne on Horde. The race sets the starting zone: Skyborne start on Zephras Isle. In Classic Era, Night Elves start in Teldrassil and Tauren in Mulgore.
Blizzard's September 22 racials give each option something a Druid can use:
Tauren: Endurance retains 5% Health; the October 15 notes replace 1% hit with 2% increased critical damage and healing. War Stomp stuns for 2 seconds, with a 90-second cooldown in those notes.Sources: Blizzard, September 22 racial list for unchanged baseline effects; October 15 beta development notes, post 6, for the stated changes; retained capture Oct 18, 2026. Official wording; realm behavior not tested.
- Tauren: War Stomp, a 2 second stun.
- Night Elf: Elune's Light, 10% crit for 15 seconds.
- Night Elf: Quickness, 1% dodge.
Both Skyborne: Wind Blessed gives 3% Haste in the October 15 notes, increased from 1%.Sources: Blizzard, September 22 racial list for unchanged baseline effects; October 15 beta development notes, post 6, for the stated changes; retained capture Oct 18, 2026. Official wording; realm behavior not tested.
- High Order Skyborne: Read Ley Line.
- Read Ley Line: 100% more health and mana regen.
- Windshaper Skyborne: Skysight, 10% run speed.
Blizzard has not ranked races for Druid, so weigh these against the look and faction you want.
Third-Party Guide Coverage
The free RestedXP addon already ships Forever route updates for those zones. Its v4.11.10 release on September 25 lists a "Mulgore Forever 1-6 update," "Teldrassil Forever updates," and "Darkshore 16-19 updates Forever."Source: RXPGuides releases on GitHub, checked Sep 28, 2026. None of those notes names Druid.
Zygor's Forever guide plans target the November 4, 2026 launch. Asked on September 21 whether a beta version existed, Zygor's staff writer answered: "No beta guides, just for launch." Neither Zygor's announcement nor its Elite plan page names Druid. To weigh the two guides for a Druid, see the Zygor vs RestedXP comparison.
What Players Say
Streamers split on how strong Druids feel in the beta, from 332 remarks across 18 streamers. Snupy said most Feral matchups felt very good at level 30, while Sodapoppin said Feral looks weak in duels at that level. Opinions from live streams, not confirmed facts.
“Feral, I don't think at level 30 should beat anything except warrior. Maybe ret paladin.”
