The paid guide is what RestedXP's WoW Forever leveling guide sells: the route itself, step by step, inside the free addon.

The addon's release notes already list Forever route work for Durotar, Mulgore, Teldrassil and Darkshore. RestedXP's pages do not say whether any of those Forever routes work without a purchase, so treat the Forever routes as paid.

Why a shared or "free" copy does not work

RestedXP binds each purchased guide to the buyer: "Your RestedXP guides are now bound to your account and Battle.net-ID. You are the only person that can access and use your guides." The import string checks that ID. RestedXP's Help Center lists "Invalid Import String" as the error when the Battle.net ID does not match the account.

So a string passed around outside RestedXP's shop is someone else's guide. We don't link copies, and we found no Forever trial on RestedXP's pages.

Cheaper ways in

  • Buy one faction: $30.00 instead of $45.00 for both.
  • Upgrade later: single-faction owners get a discounted both-faction upgrade.
  • Returning customers: RestedXP says "We do!" to a returning-customer discount.
  • Write your own route: the addon and its documentation are free.

RestedXP publishes no amount for either discount; the Help Center says the returning-customer price shows crossed out when you are logged in. Both come from RestedXP's Loyalty Specials and Help Center pages.

Free alternatives that list Forever

Questie, Guidelime and TomTom are free and each lists a Forever file on CurseForge. None of them sells a speed route: Questie is a quest helper, Guidelime runs guides that players write or import, and TomTom draws a waypoint arrow. The WoW Forever leveling addons page compares all five, paid and free, by Forever status.
