Where this talent data comes from

The table above is generated from the talent dataset vendored with this site's calculator. Its own stated baseline is WoW Classic Era 1.15.9 client tables (vanilla talent trees), so a talent marked as matching that table is a comparison against vanilla, not a Blizzard statement that the talent is untouched in Forever.

That dataset cites each talent with its own locator strings rather than links. They are reproduced exactly as recorded and are not clickable, because no public URL is published for them.

Captured tree read

Cajato walks the Warrior calculator tree by tree; the Arms chapter runs from 0:19 to 4:53.

Arms keeps Rend relevant by wiring it into Overpower. Bloodthrill is new and gives melee attacks against a bleeding target a 2% chance per point, 10% fully invested, to open Overpower for six seconds. That is the tree's organising idea: a damage-over-time effect Classic Arms often skipped now gates a proc, rather than sitting on the bar as an afterthought.

Spearing Strike is the other genuinely new button, a thrown attack for 40% weapon damage with an additional 80% against giants, dragonkin and mounted targets, and it dismounts riders outright.

Spearing Strike is a new Arms attack that hits large targets harder and dismounts riders.

The third new entry is Weaponmaster, and it is a consolidation rather than an addition: one talent covering axes and polearms for 1% critical strike chance, maces and staves for 3% of the target's armor ignored, and swords for a 1% chance of an extra attack. The four Classic weapon specialization talents are gone as separate nodes, which frees four rows' worth of decisions and removes the weapon-type lock-in that shaped Classic Arms builds.

Improved Slam is the most concrete rework on the card: two points instead of five, each cutting cast time and the global cooldown by a quarter second, and Slam no longer interrupts melee swing timing. Two numbers move the other way. Improved Rend opens at 12% against Classic's 15%, and Two-Handed Weapon Specialization caps at 3% over three points where Classic reached 5% over five.

Improved Slam costs two points instead of five and stops Slam interrupting melee swing timing.

The capstone, Mortal Strike, reads as it did in Classic: weapon damage plus 85 with 50% reduced healing for ten seconds. Class-wide context, including the unified hit change and the weapon skill rebalance that touches every Arms build, is on the Warrior class guide. The other two trees have their own references: Fury Warrior and Protection Warrior. The shared structure of Forever talent trees, including the confirmed 11, 16, 21 and 31-point milestones, is covered in the talent system guide.

What is not published yet

  • No rotation, priority list or opener.
  • No best-in-slot list or gear table.
  • No stat weights, hit caps or breakpoints.
  • No consumables, enchants or profession picks.
  • No leveling route or pacing guidance.
  • No PvP tuning or comp advice.
  • No tier list or spec ranking.

How the faster, non-interrupting Slam actually fits an Arms sequence is exactly the kind of question this page will not answer from theory. Blizzard has published no Warrior rotation or tuning data, and the demo calculator values above are pre-release captures that may still change.
