Find the Entrance
From Sentinel Hill, travel south into Moonbrook and find the mine entrance inside a building. The building entrance and the instance portal are separate: there are enemies along the approach through the mines. Meeting your group at the mine entrance lets you travel that approach together.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: Wowhead's Forever Deadmines guide, Location; checked October 3, 2026.
Prepare your Deadmines quests before entering. Westfall's longer quest chains can put you on a different objective from the one your group is ready to complete.

Toxic Soil Adds Another Reason to Visit
Forever's Toxic Soil storyline includes two quests named Destruction in Deadmines. In the first, quest 92753, you locate the forge, plant the supplied Extra-Destructive Explosives nearby, and meet Alba Fairmoon at the Deadmines exit. The follow-up, quest 92819, asks you to use the detonator. Follow your current quest objective so you know which step you are preparing to complete.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: Wowhead Forever quest 92753, Storyline and objective, and quest 92819, objective; checked October 3, 2026.
Blizzard's October 1 notes confirm that Destruction in Deadmines now sorts under the dungeon in the quest log. That is useful when checking which objectives you have before your group enters.Source: Blizzard's October 1 beta notes, Quests, Deadmines; checked October 3, 2026.
Why go into The Deadmines?
The dungeon follows the Defias Brotherhood beneath Westfall. Its story starts with the Stonemasons rebuilding Stormwind and going unpaid; after the uprising, they retreat to the mines under Edwin VanCleef. Preparing The Defias Brotherhood chain connects your Sentinel Hill investigation to that story, while Toxic Soil brings a separate Forever quest objective into the same dungeon.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: Wowhead's Forever Deadmines guide, Overview and The Defias Brotherhood; Toxic Soil quest record; checked October 3, 2026.
Fit the Run Into Your Leveling Route
Use the recommended 18–23 range to plan a visit while questing through Westfall. Prepare the chains you want to complete and the Stormwind pickups before arranging the run; arriving at Moonbrook with an earlier chain step can mean another trip.
Blizzard reduced the extra experience above normal quest values from dungeon quests by 50% on October 1. Compare your current rewards with the time needed to finish prerequisites and travel, rather than carrying over the older XP bonus.Source: Blizzard's October 1 beta notes, Quests; checked October 3, 2026.
