Which spec should you level as a Shaman?

Elemental is our tooltip-led starting pick for a ranged spell path. Blizzard moved Elemental Alacrity from Row 6 to Row 3 and said the change gives Elemental meaningful progression while leveling. That is a reason to try the tree, not evidence that it is the fastest spec or a damage ranking.

What talent order should you use from 1 to 60?

The point windows below use the standard schedule: one point per character level from 10 through 60, based on the calculator's reported 51-point level-60 total. The route starts in Elemental, takes its reported row and prerequisite path to Lava Burst, then spends five points in Enhancement.

The level-60 result is 46 Elemental points and five Enhancement points. This is a complete point order built from the reported rows, rank caps, and prerequisites, not a tested rotation or final tuning claim. Open it in the calculator if you want to inspect the tree as you level.

A level-by-level Shaman spell trainer list is not sourced in this guide. The talent read and beta notes establish the route above, but not when every spell rank becomes available. Check your in-game spellbook and trainer as you level.

Which races can be Shamans?

Blizzard's current race tables list Dwarf as the Alliance Shaman option and the four choices above for Horde. The tables establish eligibility, not a leveling advantage. See race and class combinations and the racial ability guide before choosing for flavor or utility.

Where should you quest as a Shaman?

Use this Elemental order when a reported beta tree is a useful planning aid and you are comfortable adjusting as the beta changes. It does not prove a fastest specialization, damage advantage, best race, or final level-60 build. If you prefer a melee-focused route, start with the Enhancement Shaman guide instead.
