WoW Forever Hardcore leveling tips
Combat habits and confirmed Hardcore rules, with gaps made clear.
Use careful solo pulls and controlled groups in WoW Forever Hardcore; Blizzard's combat pace is general advice, not a safety rule. An addon route can't explain unknown rules.
Quick answer
Use careful pulls; Blizzard's ordinary combat advice is context, not a Forever Hardcore safety rule.
- Solo combat paceBlizzard describes ordinary solo fights at roughly 10 to 15 seconds per mob; this is not a Hardcore safety timer.
- Dungeon pacingBlizzard describes tactical pulls and crowd control, with tanks handling roughly three to four targets; this is not a Hardcore pull limit.
- Death and transferBlizzard says death carries lasting consequences and a dead Hardcore character can transfer to another ruleset; the process is not described.
- AvailabilityBlizzard says the Hardcore ruleset will be available sometime after launch.

Build a cautious route from what is known
Blizzard's roughly 10 to 15 seconds per mob describes the intended pace of an ordinary solo fight. It does not set a Hardcore timer, name a safe enemy level, or say when a character should run. If your health or mana is already strained, pause before you add another enemy. That's our conservative leveling advice, not a published Hardcore rule.
In a group, plan a pull the tank and crowd-control players can manage. The three-to-four-target example is a rough dungeon pacing cue, not a minimum, maximum, or safe group-size rule. Blizzard has not published a Hardcore-specific dungeon procedure in the sources cited here.
For the wider leveling context, see the WoW Forever leveling tips. They cover the ordinary combat and progression evidence without treating it as a Hardcore safety test.
If a route checklist helps, compare RestedXP's WoW Forever guide, Zygor's Forever guide page, and our RestedXP versus Zygor comparison. Use those pages to compare route coverage, not to answer what Blizzard has not said about Hardcore.
Pick a class you can manage
The current best leveling class guide names Hunter as a cautious solo pick if pet play suits you. It does not report a tested Hardcore safety ranking or prove that one class survives longest. Choose a toolkit you know how to use, then review its options in the talent calculator; a talent tree is not a safety guarantee.
What death transfer does and does not tell you
Blizzard says a dead Hardcore character can transfer to another ruleset, including PvP. That confirms an option after death; the cited pages do not explain whether the transfer is automatic, what the player chooses, or what happens to every kind of progress. Do not treat it as a free retry or a reason to take a risky pull.
The Hardcore ruleset guide keeps Blizzard's confirmed rules separate from missing details. Recheck it when Blizzard publishes a fuller set of Hardcore rules.
Not announced or unresolved
- Unspecified proceduresThe cited Blizzard pages do not spell out the exact death-transfer process, a Hardcore-specific dungeon procedure beyond same-ruleset grouping, or an addon policy. WoW Forever Hardcore leveling FAQ
Is there a confirmed safest class for WoW Forever Hardcore?
No tested Hardcore safety ranking appears in the sources reviewed here. The Hunter pick in our class guide is a cautious solo recommendation, not a measured comparison.
How many enemies should I pull in a Hardcore dungeon?
Blizzard's rough three-to-four-target example describes tank pacing in ordinary dungeon combat. It does not establish a Hardcore group limit, so use a pull size your group can control.
What happens when a WoW Forever Hardcore character dies?
Blizzard says a dead character can transfer to another ruleset, including PvP. The cited ruleset pages do not explain the transfer process or the choices available.
Can I follow a leveling addon in Hardcore?
Use a route for directions only, and check its coverage before relying on it. The Blizzard sources cited here do not state a Forever Hardcore addon policy.
