How Each Spec Performed

The 36 finalists' recorded finals talent builds determine the spec labels below. Raider.IO records talent builds only for finals matches, and players could change builds between stages, so the qualifier columns show each finalist's qualifier results under the spec they played in the finals.

Combined records describe those players across both stages, rather than proving a spec was used in qualifiers.Source: Raider.IO finals rules, §§6.5 and 8.3.

Top PvP Spec for Each Class

Selection rule: The top spec for each of the nine classes is selected by highest win rate across combined tournament play among specs meeting a minimum sample size threshold of n >= 15 combined duels (qualifiers + finals). Specs with fewer than 15 duels are noted where relevant but excluded from top-spec designation to prevent small-sample distortion.

Tournament Context

The Forever Open was a 1v1 duel tournament on the World of Warcraft: Forever closed beta, organized by Tips Out, Esfand, and Xaryu, with partners including Starforge Systems (Raider.io hosted tournament sign-ups and brackets).

The tournament featured a 100,000 USD prize pool, with 50,000 USD awarded to the champion and 5,555 USD awarded to the top player of each of the nine classes (the champion cannot also take a class award, which passes to the next-highest placing player of that class). The event was Horde-only, per tournament rules.

The prizes page lists 5,555 USD per class; Terms & Conditions §VIII instead says approximately 5,555.56 USD, with residual funds retained by TFO. The Mage shares are therefore approximate. Prize payment remains subject to VOD review and eligibility verification, rather than being confirmed paid.Source: Raider.IO Terms & Conditions, §VIII and finals rules, §§10.1 and 13.4.
