Blizzard's November 2 beta development update raises class damage alongside higher-level creature health, revises training costs, and declares gamepad support functionally complete. The notes collect work since October 15 ahead of the November 4 launch.Confirmed, a first-party sourceSource: Kaivax, November 2 beta notes, checked November 3, 2026.
Kaivax published post 9 at 03:20 UTC on November 3: 10:20 p.m. Eastern and 7:20 p.m. Pacific on November 2. The November 2 label is Blizzard's. These are beta development notes, and the racial changes included in them were previously posted.
Why Class Damage and Creature Health Both Rise
Blizzard says keeping classes close to Classic power budgets meant new features required reductions elsewhere. The developers describe this round of damage increases as room to make iconic abilities feel better while retaining class differences. Increasing higher-level creature health accompanies that change; the notes do not give one universal percentage for either adjustment.
The developers also set expectations for the next tuning cycle. Except for bugs and serious outliers, they do not plan big tuning changes before raids open next month. They expect a larger pass after collecting data from players leveling beyond 30 and taking part in more content. That is a stated plan, not a guarantee that current values are final.
Poised and Shank Change Energy Spending
Druids learn Poised at level 32; Rogues learn it at level 18. Being out of combat with maximum Energy grants the effect, reducing the next Energy ability's cost by 10.
Rogues also learn Shank at level 24. It costs 5 Energy, has a 10-second cooldown, strikes with the off-hand weapon for 50% weapon damage, and generates 15 Energy. It cannot miss. Rank 2, learned at level 44, generates 25 Energy. These are the values in this update, rather than a recommendation for a finished rotation.
Learning new spells no longer automatically places them on action bars. Check your bars after training, and allow for the revised training budget when planning your leveling purchases.
Gamepad Support Reaches a Functional Milestone
Blizzard now describes movement, spells, interactions, and core UI navigation as playable with a controller. Settings can be customized through Edit Mode and Options. The update includes focus targeting, enemy-player targeting fixes, a fix for the Train action at profession trainers, and support for ending a flight early at the next available flight point.

The milestone concerns controller input in WoW Forever. It does not announce a console release. Our gamepad guide contains earlier beta context; use the linked November 2 notes for this latest status.
Bags, Respawns, and Quest Fixes
Bags no longer automatically fill available bag slots: equip them yourself. Blizzard also adjusted quest experience, prerequisites, level settings, objective tooltips, and map markers. Ruins of Lordaeron dungeon quests now consistently require level 15 to start, replacing a mix of level 15 and 16 requirements.
Respawn rates are generally fastest in starting zones and taper as players spread through higher-level areas. Blizzard plans to lower the early-zone rates after the initial launch surge settles. The notes give no fixed date for that later adjustment, and the developers still expect some competition for spawns.

This is a selection of the broad changes, not a replacement for the complete class-by-class list. Check Blizzard's full November 2 update before relying on an older build or tooltip. The class hub remains useful for navigation, but older guide details may predate this tuning round.
