The Stockade in WoW Forever

Finding the Stormwind Entrance

The entrance is by the Mage Quarter in Stormwind City. Wowhead's Forever guide directs players to the quarter's northeast corner, with the meeting stone outside the entrance. Use that city landmark when organizing the group.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: Wowhead Forever: The Stockade, Location section, checked Oct 3, 2026.

Stormwind is an Alliance capital, and the selected quests below are filed as Alliance quests. Those facts do not by themselves establish a faction restriction on entering the instance. This reference does not prescribe a Horde city-crossing route.

What level should your group plan around?

Wowhead's Forever overview recommends levels 24 to 30. That is a guide recommendation, not a Blizzard minimum-entry rule. The three level-22 requirements below describe individual quests, while The Stockade Riots is listed with a lower requirement of 16. A lower quest requirement does not establish a suitable clearing level.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: Wowhead Forever overview, Overview; Forever quest list, current records, checked Oct 3, 2026.

Use the requirements to decide which quests to investigate before assembling the group. Check your log and the linked records for prerequisites; this table is a selected reference, not a complete chain.

Wowhead's current Forever database supplies the faction and required-level fields. Quell the Uprising and The Stockade Riots descriptions establish the prison-revolt context; no starter location or live quest availability is inferred from this list.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: The Stockade quest records, IDs 387, 377, 378 and 391; selected descriptions checked Oct 3, 2026.

Why You Are Entering the Prison

Quell the Uprising asks for help bringing the prison revolt under control for Stormwind's safety. The Stockade Riots follows the conflict around Thredd. These descriptions make the dungeon's city-prison role concrete without requiring a full boss roster or a borrowed encounter strategy.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: Quell the Uprising and The Stockade Riots, Description sections, checked Oct 3, 2026.

Plan for the Current Quest XP Rules

The October 1 update halved dungeon quests' extra XP above normal quest values. It did not say that every quest's total experience was halved.
