The 2004 Collector's Edition is still remembered for its in-game pets, Mini Diablo included. Restock orders ship February 2027, and the digital packs are still on sale.
Update, September 25: on September 24 Blizzard updated its Collector's Edition post: "We are making additional English versions of the World of Warcraft: Forever Collector’s Edition available for purchase starting as early as today (exact timing will vary by retailer) in North America, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand."Blizzard: Updated 9/24 Pre-Purchase the World of Warcraft®: Forever Collector’s Edition (forum post), checked Sep 25, 2026.

We observed the physical World of Warcraft: Forever Collector's Edition ($150.00 USD) sold out on the official Blizzard Gear Store on September 13, 2026, less than 24 hours after pre-orders opened following the BlizzCon 2026 announcement. The boxed physical edition features a 13-inch Dwarf and Bear statue and a digital Warcraft Forever Collection code.
The listing currently shows it as sold out and unavailable for purchase. The exact sellout timestamp and any additional inventory waves are still open. The digital upgrade packs on the Battle.net Shop remain available for pre-purchase. Our WoW Forever editions guide covers edition contents, pricing and access requirements in full.

Storefront Observation: Physical Pre-Order Stock Exhausted
The physical box went fast: it showed sold out the day after pre-orders opened. Pre-orders for the physical Collector's Edition (SKU wowccl0012) went live on September 12, 2026, after Blizzard's official announcement article, Pre-Purchase the World of Warcraft: Forever Collector's Edition.
Storefront audits on September 13, 2026 showed the purchase button disabled and the listing reading "Sold Out". The Gear Store keeps no public transaction ledger or countdown timer, so the exact time the inventory ran out is unrecorded.
Technical Notes
- The September 13 audit read the Gear Store listing's purchase action as disabled, with the page showing a "Sold Out" state.
The box was offered at $150.00 USD with a limit of three per household, with shipping limited to select countries across North and South America. Blizzard's product notes say boxed packages are scheduled to ship in November 2026, which lines up with the game's November 4 release date.
Physical Collectibles and Digital Collection Benefits
The box pairs physical collectibles with a code for the digital Warcraft Forever Collection. The Collector's Edition is the only physical release tier announced for World of Warcraft: Forever. The set includes:
- 13-inch Dwarf and Bear statue
- Zephras Isle mousepad, named for the Skyborne starting zone
- Collectible pins
- Art prints
- Companion journal
- Warcraft Forever Collection digital code, download only, no disc
The code comes in a separately provided envelope.
Beta access doesn't wait for the physical box to ship in November. Blizzard's Collector's Edition announcement says Beta Access Code redemption instructions arrive by email, for an access period of September 17 through October 21 PDT. The Collection digital code that ships with the box unlocks the permanent digital benefits of the Warcraft Forever Collection:
- 30 days of included Game Time activated at launch.
- The new Skyborne race and Zephras Isle starting zone.
- Early Name Reservation: October 27 through November 3, 2026 PST.
- Three Invite-A-Friend launch-week codes for November 4 through November 11.
- In-game cosmetics including the Cerulean Prideclaw mount.
- More cosmetics: Veteran Adventurer gear, pets, and tabards.
- Modern WoW Housing decor items (requires Midnight, sold separately).
- Warcraft III: Reforged base game and the Forsaken Kingdom campaign.
Remaining Digital Upgrade Options on Battle.net
You don't need the box for the in-game content or beta access. While physical Collector's Edition stock is currently unavailable, all in-game content and testing privileges remain accessible through digital upgrades on the Battle.net Shop:
| Pack | Detail |
|---|---|
| Skyborne Heroic Pack ($29.99 USD) | Unlocks the Skyborne playable race, Zephras Isle, Early Name Reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw mount, and one Invite-A-Friend code. It does not include Game Time or beta access. |
| Skyborne Epic Pack ($59.99 USD) | Includes everything in Heroic, plus guaranteed beta access starting September 17, 30 days of Game Time at launch, Veteran Adventurer cosmetics and pets, and three total Invite-A-Friend codes. |
| Warcraft Forever Collection ($79.99 USD) | Includes everything in Epic, plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, and Modern WoW Housing figurine decor. Available as a limited-time offer through January 11, 2027. |
Digital upgrades deliver entitlements directly to your Battle.net account when you buy them. Physical Collector's Edition buyers receive Beta Access Code redemption instructions by email rather than in the box. For a detailed comparison of the digital tiers, see our WoW Forever edition prices report.
Still Open: Exact Timing and Restocks
Blizzard made more English copies available on September 24, and those orders are expected to ship February 2027; it did not say how many copies or exactly when orders closed. Two questions about sales were open when this report was written:
| Open question | What is known |
|---|---|
| Exact sellout timestamp | Blizzard did not post the exact minute or hour orders closed. Independent storefront checks confirmed the sold-out state on September 13, 2026. |
| Inventory restocks | Answered on September 24, when Blizzard made additional English versions available at the Gear Store and at retailers in North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Restock orders ship February 2027. Blizzard did not say how many copies. |
Blizzard's September 24 statement replaces the earlier advice to treat the physical tier as sold out. Blizzard doesn't publish its stock at any given moment.
Technical Notes
- Blizzard did not issue a public bulletin noting the exact minute or hour when orders closed.
