The recap counts two new raids, the December 9 roadmap card lists three entries, and Onyxia's Lair is one of them at 40 players, the size it was in Classic.
Blizzard's Opening Ceremony recap confirms nine new dungeons and two new raids for World of Warcraft: Forever. The What's Next panel recap names eight dungeons and describes a ninth destination as a mysterious excavation site above Whelgar's Excavation. It also names The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit as planned raid destinations.
A separate roadmap graphic schedules a December 9, 2026 raid unlock with three named entries. This article marks where Blizzard's count and classification remain unresolved.
For the standing reference pages, see the WoW Forever dungeons guide and WoW Forever raids guide. This dated article keeps the BlizzCon announcement and its roadmap context separate from those guides.
The official World of Warcraft: Forever Creator Showcase adds a developer preview of two destinations. An on-screen dungeon card labels Dalaran City level 28 to 33 and places its entrance at a sewer gate on the coast of Lordamere Lake. Preview walkthrough gameplay shows an encounter named Shade of the Archmage.
The showcase also shows the title The Drowned City and visibly presents a flooded, troll-styled environment. These are preview details. On September 15, Blizzard community manager Kaivax posted level ranges for all nine dungeons, listed below.
Nine New Dungeons
Expect nine new dungeons. Kaivax's level ranges run from Hall of Thanes at 13 to 18 up to The Shaper's Terrace at 58 to 60.
The What's Next panel recap gives this roster. It describes one destination without a proper name and gives short location or tone details for some of the others. Level ranges come from Kaivax's September 15 forum post, which corrected Krol'dok Stronghold to 40 to 45 and names the excavation site "Excavation Site: Wetlands."Blizzard: Krol'dok Stronghold, checked Sep 28, 2026.
| Dungeon | Levels (Kaivax) | Detail in the panel recap | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hall of Thanes | 13 to 18 | Beneath Ironforge | Confirmed |
| Ruins of Lordaeron | 15 to 20 | Name only | Confirmed |
| Excavation site above Whelgar's Excavation | 24 to 29 | Called mysterious; Kaivax lists it as "Excavation Site: Wetlands"Blizzard: Krol'dok Stronghold, checked Sep 28, 2026. | Confirmed |
| Dalaran City | 28 to 33 | Called chaotic; a showcase card adds a sewer-gate entrance | Confirmed |
| The Drowned City | 35 to 40 | Name only | Confirmed |
| Krol'dok Stronghold | 40 to 45 | Name only | Confirmed |
| Alcaz Prison | 48 to 53 | Name only | Confirmed |
| Blackmaw Hold | 55 to 60 | Name only | Confirmed |
| The Shaper's Terrace | 58 to 60 | Name only | Confirmed |
The Opening Ceremony recap gives the nine-dungeon count independently. The cited first-party material doesn't publish group sizes, complete boss lists, loot, lockouts, tuning, or an individual release phase for these dungeons.

Creator Showcase Preview: Dalaran City and the Drowned City
You can watch two of the new dungeons, Dalaran City and The Drowned City, in preview footage from the official Creator Showcase. An on-screen dungeon card labels Dalaran City level 28 to 33 and places its entrance at a sewer gate on the coast of Lordamere Lake (00:03:39 to 00:04:15).
During the walkthrough, the showcase's gameplay shows an encounter named Shade of the Archmage (about 01:13:30). The broadcast also introduces The Drowned City, visibly presenting a flooded, troll-styled environment (01:19:00 to 01:20:30).
This is observed preview footage, not announced launch specifications. The showcase doesn't give full boss rosters, loot tables, or tuning for either instance. Separate creator footage shows a radial ping menu in Forever.

Two Announced Raids, Three Roadmap Entries
The panel recap names two planned raids, one for 10 players and one for 20. The roadmap lists a third entry, Onyxia's Lair, and no cited source says how the three map to the two new raids in the Opening Ceremony recap.
The panel recap says The Barrow Deeps is planned as a maximum-level 10-player challenge and that Hyjal Summit will have 20-player raid encounters. The official @Warcraft launch post also describes 10-player and 20-player raids, but it names neither raid and gives no encounter list.

| Raid | Size and source wording | Status |
|---|---|---|
| The Barrow Deeps | Maximum-level 10-player challenge in the panel recap; 10-player entry on the roadmap card | Confirmed name and size; planned unlock |
| Hyjal Summit | 20-player raid encounters in the panel recap; 20-player entry on the roadmap card | Confirmed name and size; planned unlock |
| Onyxia's Lair | 40-player entry on the roadmap card only | Planned; classification unknown |
The Opening Ceremony recap says two new raids, while the roadmap card lists three entries under Raids Unlock. No cited source maps the two new raids to those three entries or says whether Onyxia's Lair is new, returning, or revamped. Don't present the roadmap's three entries as three new raids.

The Battle.net product page describes new dungeons and max-level raids but publishes no encounter lists, lockouts, tuning, or release sequence.
Roadmap Beyond the First Unlock
Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026, the raid unlock is planned for December 9, and more dungeons and raids are planned for Spring and Summer 2027. The Forever announcement and Opening Ceremony recap place the global launch on November 4, 2026.
The What's Next panel recap and its roadmap graphic then put the raid unlock after launch and add plans for later dungeons and raids.
| Window | Dungeon and raid content | Status |
|---|---|---|
| November 4, 2026 | World of Warcraft: Forever launches; the raid unlock is scheduled later | Confirmed launch; planned unlock |
| December 9, 2026 | The Barrow Deeps (10), Hyjal Summit (20), and Onyxia's Lair (40) appear on the Raids Unlock card | Planned |
| Spring 2027 | 2 new raids, one 10-player and one 20-player, plus 2 new dungeons | Planned |
| Summer 2027 | A card reading "REVAMPED ICONIC RAID"Blizzard: World of Warcraft: Forever What's Next Panel Recap, checked Sep 13, 2026., 1 new raid, and 2 new dungeons | Planned |
For Spring and Summer, the roadmap gives seasons rather than dates and names none of those later entries. It doesn't say whether the four later dungeons come on top of the nine announced above, so there is no combined dungeon total to give. Its footer says content and timing are subject to change.
