It also says updates reach all specializations and announces revamps to honor and professions, while the panel recap adds Skyborne's classes.
Blizzard announced World of Warcraft: Forever on September 12. Its Battle.net product page names two race-and-class combinations: Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin. The page says gameplay updates apply "across all specializations"
and announces "Revamps to honor and professions"
plus "an all-new Camping system."Blizzard: World of Warcraft: Forever - Battle.net Shop, checked Sep 13, 2026.

The World of Warcraft: Forever What's Next panel recap adds the Skyborne class list and explains how Camping works. It lists no professions and no spell or talent changes by class.
Technical Notes
- The summary table pairs each area with the supported first-party detail, row by row, and with what the checked first-party sources leave unpublished.
Skyborne access depends on your edition, not on any class change. The Battle.net requirements section says access to Skyborne and the Zephras Isle starting experience requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher. See the product requirements.

What the Class Update Does and Does Not Say
Expect design goals, not details: the panel talks about class work in broad design terms and gives Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin no spell, talent, role, or unlock rule. Blizzard says the goal is to keep each class's identity while adding abilities and race-and-class combinations, with updates aimed at noticeable talents and abilities and meaningful trade-offs.
Read the class section of the panel recap.
Do not merge the two Forsaken Paladins. Blizzard's BlizzCon announcement separately describes a neutral Forsaken Paladin hero unit in the Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom campaign. That unit belongs to Warcraft III. It is not a second Forever race-and-class combination.
Professions Have a Status, Not a Roster
Count on a professions revamp, but not on any named profession. The Battle.net feature paragraph names the revamp and stops there. The official Forever Gameplay Trailer displays the text "NEW PROFESSIONS CONTENT"
at about 02:00, but it names no profession.Blizzard: World of Warcraft: Forever | Gameplay Trailer, checked Sep 12, 2026.
The panel's Camping description shows how professions may connect to camps, not which professions exist or how their systems work. Blizzard's later campfire announcement details campsite objects contributed by professions.
Do not import a Modern or Classic profession list, recipe path, profession limit, or specialization system. The checked sources state none of them for Forever.
Original September 13 Official Checkpoint
Before the Deep Dive material was published, the combinations and Skyborne list above were supported and the missing profession and class details were open. Blizzard's announcement scheduled the live World of Warcraft: Forever Deep Dive for September 13 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Blizzard described the session as covering the philosophy, systems, and design choices for reimagined Azeroth.
The September 22 Articles Publish the Full Roster
You can now check a complete Horde and Alliance race and class matrix, which fills the gap in the table above. Blizzard's Create the Hero You Want to Be and Meet the New Skyborne articles, both published September 22, together provide it.
Where the store page named two pairings, Create the Hero names six: "Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests, Dwarf Shamans."Blizzard: Create the Hero You Want to Be in World of Warcraft: Forever, checked Sep 28, 2026.
Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Human Hunter, and Gnome Priest are new to this report.
Blizzard's tables say Undead where the store page says Forsaken; this site's Forsaken race guide covers both names.

Every Race's Class List
Find your race below for every class Blizzard allows it. Blizzard marks each allowed pair with an X. The tables list Skyborne once per faction, and the faction names come from the Skyborne article. Horde:
- Orc: Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior
- Tauren: Druid, Hunter, Shaman, Warrior
- Troll: Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior
- Undead: Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior
- Windshaper Skyborne: Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior
Alliance:
- Dwarf: Hunter, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior
- Gnome: Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior
- Human: Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior
- Night Elf: Druid, Hunter, Priest, Rogue, Warrior
- High Order Skyborne: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Warrior
To filter the same matrix, use the race and class combination tool.
Racial Traits Changed Too
Blizzard says some racial traits changed, so check yours before you plan around them.
Create the Hero says some racial traits were updated "with adjustments that better support the expanded class options."Blizzard: Create the Hero You Want to Be in World of Warcraft: Forever, checked Sep 28, 2026.
It does not list which. The racials guide collects every published racial and the four that the September 24 beta notes later revised.
Skyborne Factions and Home Zone
Your Skyborne starts on Zephras Isle, levels 1 to 12, whether Windshaper (Horde) or High Order (Alliance); the Skyborne article gives that starting zone for both. The class split matches the earlier report on this page: Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, and Druid for both, plus Shaman for Windshaper and Mage for High Order.
Both factions also get "new Skyborne druid forms created specifically for the race."Blizzard: WoW: Forever Meet the New Skyborne, checked Sep 28, 2026.
Blizzard has not shown or described those forms. The Skyborne race guide tracks what is known.
What the Beta Client Shows About Professions
This site's read of the beta client, build 1.60.1.70009, finds new recipes in all six professions it compared against the Classic Era client. Blizzard hasn't published a profession-by-profession breakdown, and the client fills part of that gap. Treat these counts as reported client data that can change before launch.
Recipe Counts for Six Professions
In the client, Leatherworking and Tailoring add the most new recipes of the six.
Enchanting has 231 live recipes: 75 new, 107 changed from Classic, and one retired, Charged Scale of Onyxia.Source: Wowhead WoW Forever Enchanting database, checked Sep 28, 2026. Leatherworking has 523 live recipes with 281 new, and Tailoring has 425 with 187 new. See the Leatherworking guide for the new armor sets.
Alchemy has 188 live recipes, 77 new and 33 changed. Nine Classic recipes are retired, including all six Healing Potion tiers, which now sit in First Aid.Source: Wowhead WoW Forever Alchemy database, checked Sep 28, 2026. Skinning has 12 live recipes and Fishing 14, with 8 and 9 of those new.
What Changed Inside the Recipes
Many recipes you know from Classic change too, so check reagents and skill thresholds before you plan around them. The changes go beyond new rows. In the client, most Classic Enchanting formulas need fewer reagents, and the Health and Mana enchants now grant Stamina and Intellect. Tailoring and Leatherworking lower the yellow skill thresholds on 207 and 198 Classic recipes.
Alchemy adds new potions and elixirs, plus dyes and Sulfuric Acid that other crafts use.
A Camping Category in Every Profession
Every profession gets a Camping category with three campsite objects, unlocked at skill 20, 140, and 300. Each also keeps its four Classic rank spells and gains a mirrored rank set on a new skill line. Wowhead's Camping overview says each craft gives two objects; the client recipe makes one. That conflict is unresolved.

What Is Still Missing
Blacksmithing, Cooking, Engineering, Herbalism, and Mining are not covered here, because the client pass skipped them. Blizzard has not confirmed a final profession list.
WoW Forever Classes and Professions FAQ
What classes did Blizzard announce for WoW Forever?
The Battle.net product page names Dwarf Shaman and Forsaken Paladin. Blizzard's September 22 Create the Hero article adds Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Human Hunter, and Gnome Priest, and publishes the full race and class matrix. All nine Classic classes return.
Which classes can the Skyborne be?
Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, and Druid for both factions, Mage for High Order (Alliance), and Shaman for Windshaper (Horde). The What's Next recap gave this split first, and Blizzard's September 22 articles confirm it and list the Skyborne racials.
Has Blizzard published the WoW Forever profession list?
Not as a list. Blizzard confirms a professions revamp and Camping content. The beta client carries the Classic professions with new recipes, but that is reported client data, not a Blizzard list. The WoW Forever professions guide tracks each profession as sources change.
Are WoW Forever class roles, spells, and talents confirmed?
Partly. Blizzard's September 24 beta notes list spell and talent changes for all nine classes, collected in the class changes guide. Roles and unlock rules for the new pairings are unpublished. The WoW Forever classes guide keeps the roster and source trail.

For the wider announcement and the access dates, read the Forever announcement overview and the beta reference.
