The coastal setting helps distinguish this dungeon from Dalaran's magical city and Blackmaw Hold's furbolg setting. It does not establish a boat route, swim approach, entrance coordinates or underwater combat mechanic. Plan around the confirmed level bracket before choosing a travel route.

The 35-40 Progression Band

Blizzard's table places The Drowned City at 35-40, after Dalaran's 28-33 bracket and at the start of Krol'dok Stronghold's 40-45 bracket. For outdoor leveling at a similar stage, Blizzard places much of Riverglades' questing in the mid-thirties to mid-forties. That is an alternative progression context, not evidence that The Drowned City is in Riverglades. The leveling guide connects the wider questing bands, and the dungeon roster separates launch plans from the available beta list.Planned, first-party, in the future tenseSource: Blizzard What's Next recap, New Places to Explore; checked Oct 3, 2026.

A Preview Is Different From Beta Access

Wowhead reports that The Drowned City was available to test at BlizzCon 2026. A convention demonstration can show a dungeon before the public beta opens its level range. Treat that footage as preview context rather than a current route or a tested reward list.Reported, press or datamine, not confirmedSource: Wowhead Forever dungeon overview, The Drowned City Dungeon in Forever; checked Oct 3, 2026.

Blizzard's panel replay provides the wider announcement context for the dungeon roster:

Named quests, encounters, loot sources and a working entrance remain outside this reference's verified coverage. The current-client table check also does not establish this dungeon's server access or a navigable route.
